Two examples which are effective use of Internet marketing:

1. Blogs - IKEA
Blogger is a type of Online PR. It is a platform for customers/corporate to share their experience about some related topic to the blog.

2. Search engine optimization - Yahoo
Yahoo is a type of Search Marketing. It is an online search engine which allow people to search any necessary information. Messages may reach customers by Paid Search Advertising.

According to my understanding of the marketing campaign, I think the purpose is to acquire new customers, retain existing customers and extend customer relationships through different channel. Because most customers engage in multi-channel buying behavior, hence, it's important for businesses to reach them in every possible channel including specialized online techniques in marketing communications.

As a result, IKEA can extend customer relationships and Yahoo can acquire new customers.

Below are some examples of Internet properties that the online marketing campaign takes advantage of:

IKEA -  interactivity or two-way communication
Customers may leave message on the blog to exchange their experience in using the products, the blog can provides a space to let customers leave their feedback as well.

IKEA, Yahoo -  pull marketing
Customers will search related information as they are interested in the topic/product.

IKEA - greater hold on user's interest
Customers may understand the benefit from other customers' experience.

IKEA, Yahoo - measurable and trackable
Through the visit from customers, results can be tracked and measured more closely by corporate.

Based on this job description, the main responsibilites of a CRM manager are as below,
1. Oversee and manage all consumer focused efforts including development of consumer database, work with regional analytics team on analyzing the database and use consumer intelligence for better consumer marketing programs, better resources allocation and better consumer services.
2. Oversee data analysis for all online and offline programs.
3. Monitor key CRM performance metrics, response analysis for multi-channel consumer marketing programs.
4. Assist to develop and employ new customer research / survey methods to enable brands to obtain key data to aid in decision making.

As a result, the main responsibilites of a CRM manager is focusing on the relationship marketing in the following areas, for example, continuing transactions, customer differentiation, 2-way communication and collaboration, etc.

Evaluate and compare the features, functions, pricing, available editions, technology etc. of below two sources of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
1. SAP
2. Kingdee K/3


In SAP, there are 3 types of ERP software, they are "SAP Business One", "SAP Business by Design", and "SAP Business All-in-one".
Company may choose the most suitable type of software for itself depends on the company size and the number of employees. From the SAP website, we can know that,
"SAP Business One" - up to 100 employees.
"SAP Business by Design" - 100 to 500 employees.
"SAP Business All-in-one" - up to 2,500 employees.

The SAP ERP software contains varies features for a company, including "Finance and Accounting", "Human Resources Management", "Sales", "Marketing", "Project Management", "Web Channel", etc.
Some special features only applied in "SAP Business All-in-one", for example, telesales, telemarketing, lead management advance, etc.

The pricing of these 3 types of ERP software as below,
"SAP Business One" - $20,000 for 5 users.
"SAP Business by Design" - $149 per user per month. (Starting at 25 users.)
"SAP Business All-in-one" - depends on the features selected.

The advantage of SAP:
1. There is clear statement of different features and functions on the webpage.
2. The pricing is stated clear on the web.
3. SAP has more than 30 years experience in ERP software



In Kingdee K/3, it is a ERP software designed for small and medium enterprises.

The K/3 ERP software contains features as "Manufacturing Industry Management Strategic", "HR Management", "Financial Management", "Supply Chain Management", "Manufacturing Management", "Sales and Distribution Management", "Office Automation", "Customer Relationship Management", "Business Intelligence", etc.

It supports three languages, such as Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and English. Users can flexibly change the interface language, in order to meet the requirements of their global business management.

The advantage of K/3:
1. K/3 has Strongest Research & Development and Technical Support in China and Hong Kong . (3,000 staff.)
2. Pre-Built Financial Reports are Fully Endorsed and Approved by the PRC Government.
